Admission into the school is determined by a placement at the beginning of the academic session for entry into all the grades except Grades 9 (JSS 3) and Grade 12 (SSS 3). A minimum of 50% is considered as the cut-off mark qualifying one for admission.
Admission forms should be purchased in the school or other designated outlets, filled and submitted before the entrance examination could be written. The date of the examination and fee for the forms is determined at the discretion of the school.
Students are admitted to Adonai Vine School only after successfully writing our competitive entrance examination. This examination is administered at least 6 months before the beginning of the academic year. Places are offered strictly on merit. Prospective candidates into Middle school Grade 7 (JS 1) are required to complete an submit an application form before they are qualified to take the examination.
All students are admitted into Grade 7 (JSS 1) only. The College does under certain circumstances at her discretion accept students wishing to transfer from another school into a higher class. All students are expected to board at the College.
Parents are advised to make sure that all students who hope to enter into AVS know how to wash their own clothes, sweep and dust their own room, and keep the elementary rules of personal hygiene. Students should normally have stopped bed-wetting, but in exceptional cases where this is still an issue, they should be able to wash their own bed sheets and blankets.
